Marumo Gallants coach Abdeslam Ouaddou highlights rivals' professionalism

Ouaddou joined Gallants as a replacement for Dan Malesela and has impressed in his short time in the country, winning three of his first five matches in charge of the team, only losing to Stellies and Sekhukhune United.

Stellenbosch have a strong history of cultivating young stars, and Ouaddou admits he is an admirer of the Steve Barker coached club.

When asked about his impression of teams in South Africa, he said on FARPost: "I can give you the example of Stellenbosch, they are a development club with an academy, they are working well, and they have a vision.

"They know exactly what they want to reach and we can be there in the CAF competition with very talented boys, they scout very cleverly, they don’t buy very expensive guys they know exactly what they want.

"And they have a very professional organisation inside the club and everybody knows exactly what he has to do, that’s what we are expecting with modern football."

Under Ouaddou, Gallants have risen to 22 points on the league standings, a point clear of the relegation places.

They next face TS Galaxy on Sunday 30 March.
