Itumeleng Khune: I haven't retired
Former Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune insists he has not retired and is open to offers to play again.
The 27-year-old was a commanding presence in Chiefs' recent Nedbank Cup semifinal triumph over Mamelodi Sundowns, a result that stunned the tournament favourites and booked Amakhosi a spot in the final.
"I'm in a good space, working hard on and off the pitch," said Msimango.
"I'm confident in my contribution to the team. For me, it's about improving every day and staying consistent."
Msimango, a former TS Galaxy captain, has quietly grown into a leadership role at Naturena, particularly in a season marked by defensive instability and mixed results.
With their cup final place secured, Chiefs now shift focus back to the DStv Premiership, where results have been less flattering. They are winless in their last four league outings and will be desperate to turn things around when they face Chippa United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.
Their last league win came over a month ago - a narrow 1-0 victory against Magesi FC.
Despite having already beaten Chippa twice this season - in the league and the Nedbank Cup - Msimango warns against complacency.
"Chippa are a very structured and disciplined side," he said.
"Yes, we've beaten them before, but that doesn't make this an easy game. We've analysed them again and we're ready to match their intensity."
Chiefs are in position eight on the league standings with 30 points from 24 matches, while Chippa are in ninth spot with 29 points from 22 matches.
