Betway Premiership preview wrap: Marumo Gallants go head-to-head with Golden Arrows
Marumo Gallants take on Golden Arrows, Sekhukhune United clash with Polokwane City while Magesi FC and TS Galaxy do battle in Betway Premiership action this weekend.
The 28-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns prospect struggled to find form during loan spells with Maritzburg United and TS Galaxy before similarly unsuccessful stints with Moroka Swallows and All Stars.
A move to Upington City in 2023 though was the start of an upturn in fortune for Makgalwa, who was excellent in the Motsepe Foundation Championship to earn a move to Sekhukhune at the start of the current Betway Premiership season.
Makgalwa has been in top form again this term, scoring six goals and providing nine assists in 27 games in all competitions.
Footballerz Sports Marketing's Ntobatsi Masegela told FARPost: "I think first and foremost we have to respect the fact that Makgalwa is contracted to Sekhkhune United and as you know he's been one of their best players this season.
"So everything that concerns Makgalwa and the enquiries has to go through the right channels and contact the club he has a contract with.
"At the moment there's interest in Makgwala, but everything has been verbal and nothing is formal as yet."
Sekhukhune are in fourth place on the league standings with 37 points from 23 games, one point behind Stellenbosch in third.
