AmaZulu co-head coach Arthur Zwane leaps to Richard Ofori's defence
AmaZulu co-head coach Arthur Zwane has come out in defence of goalkeeper Richard Ofori following the 2-2 Betway Premiership draw with Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday.
Sekela Sithole's goal in the 51st minute at the King Zwelithini Stadium looked to be enough to hand Marumo all three points, especially as Yanela Mbuthuma was handed his marching order just eight minutes later. But Justice Figuareido popped up with an equaliser with four minutes of the match remaining before substitute Ntlonelo Bomelo stole in for the winner with just two minutes left on the clock.
The result saw the Natal Rich Boys end the evening in 14th place with 13 points from 16 games, five clear of a currently inactive Royal AM and bottom-side Magesi.
In the only other encounter on Tuesday night, there was high drama as Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu shared the spoils
Amakhosi and Usuthu battled to a 2-2 draw with both teams showing tenacity and flair in a match filled with goal-scoring opportunities.
An own goal by Ramahlwe Mphahlele in the 18th minute gave Chiefs the lead.
AmaZulu responded with Tshepang Moremi levelling the score just five minutes later.
Usuthu took the lead in the 60th minute through a header by Elmo Kambindu but the lead didn't last long as another own goal, this time by Richard Ofori brought the score back to 2-2 in the 63rd minute.
The result leaves Chiefs in fifth place in the league standings with 22 points from 16 matches, while AmaZulu sit in seventh with 20 points, also from 16 games.
