Betway Premiership: Orlando Pirates aim to maintain momentum against Sekhukhune

The Buccaneers are in scintillating form, having secured a tough Soweto Derby victory over arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs.

With 30 points from 12 matches, they are enjoying their best-ever start to a league season, winning 10 of those games. They currently sit second in the table, six points ahead of fourth-placed Sekhukhune.

Babina Noko, meanwhile, were held to a 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch in their last outing.

Their season has been solid, with seven wins, three draws, and four defeats in 14 matches, accumulating 24 points.

However, they face a tough challenge against Pirates, a side they have beaten just once in their last five meetings, drawing once and losing three.

Orlando Pirates have a full squad available, with no injuries or suspensions, giving coach Jose Riveiro plenty of options.

Sekhukhune, on the other hand, will be without Relebogile Katlego Mokhuoane and Siphesihle Elwin Mkhize due to suspension, potentially weakening their midfield.

The last encounter between these sides ended in a 1-0 win for Pirates, and given their current form, they will be favourites again.
