Enzo Maresca: Fulham game is a 'final' for Chelsea
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is eyeing a pivotal win against Fulham as his side look to reignite their push for a top-five finish and Champions League qualification.
After a difficult debut season in Serie A, the 25-year-old Nigerian is reportedly open to a move, with Fulham emerging as front-runners to secure his signature.
The Cottagers were close to landing Chukwueze in January, and now appear to be back in pole position amid fresh interest from La Liga sides Real Betis and Sevilla, Pulse Sports reported.
Chukwueze has struggled to cement a regular spot at Milan since arriving from Villarreal. The Rossoneri are keen to offload him this summer, having paid a reported 28 million euros - well above his current market value of around 12–15 million.
A switch to Fulham would not only offer Chukwueze more game time but also the chance to reunite with fellow Nigerian internationals Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey. That trio could form a strong Super Eagles connection at Craven Cottage.
Fulham, currently 9th in the Premier League, are quietly building a competitive squad, while Milan sit in the same position in Serie A, five points off a European qualification spot.
With the AFCON and World Cup qualifiers looming, Chukwueze will be eager to get his club career back on track - and Fulham may be the perfect stage for his resurgence.
