Following a frustrating goalless draw against Chippa United last weekend, Nabi admitted that the result served as a wake-up call for his squad as the season nears its climax.
"We took lessons from last week's game against Chippa United," said Nabi. "We even discussed all week that we must be ready and focused. We tried to prepare our players mentally. Smart players, if they make one mistake, cannot repeat the same mistake."
With Chiefs currently sitting eighth on the log with 30 points, after the Premier Soccer League (PSL) updated the standings following Royal AM's expulsion, every match has taken on heightened significance.
"Now we understand that if we don't prepare 100 percent mentally, we can't win any game," Nabi continued. "The players must understand the importance of every game now, especially as we are in a crucial phase of the season."
Chiefs will face a motivated Gallants side, who are chasing a top-eight finish themselves. The Limpopo-based outfit are just three points behind Amakhosi in 11th place and will view the match as a key opportunity to close the gap.
Victory is crucial for Chiefs if they are to secure a respectable league finish and restore pride after an inconsistent campaign.
