West Ham's bid for Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran rejected

The Hammers' interest in the Colombian forward comes as they struggle to find consistent goalscoring options this season.

Duran, who primarily serves as a back-up striker to Ollie Watkins at Villa, has been in fine form, scoring 12 goals across all competitions.

His notable contributions include match-winning goals in Premier League clashes against Leicester City, Everton, Southampton, and West Ham themselves.

Additionally, he has made an impact in the Champions League, scoring three times, including a dramatic late winner against Bayern Munich.

The 20-year-old hinted at a move to West Ham via social media during the summer but ultimately remained with Villa.

Interest in Duran is not limited to the Hammers; Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly monitoring the striker.

PSG's pursuit could see Duran compete with stars like Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembele, and Lee Kang-In if he moves to the French capital.

West Ham's need for a proven striker is pressing. Their top scorer, Jarrod Bowen, has only five league goals, while summer signing Niclas Fullkrug, sidelined with injury, has managed just two.
