The trio arrived from Royal AM, a club currently embroiled in financial turmoil, with owner Shawn Mkhize facing legal battles with the South African Revenue Service (SARS). The crisis has led to Royal AM's suspension from the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and the club being put up for sale.
Maxwele and Kobedi made their debuts for Arrows in their impressive 2-1 victory over Kaizer Chiefs at Moses Mabhida Stadium this past weekend, while Sithole was left out of the squad as he continues working on his fitness.
Speaking after the match, Mngqithi lauded the quality of his new recruits but explained the decision to leave Sithole out for now.
"They are brilliant players, and they are definitely going to add value to our squad. Even Sithole could have played today [Saturday], but we felt he had been put under a lot of physical stress over the last two weeks," the Arrows coach told iDiski Times.
"We pushed most of the new players to the limit to improve their conditioning because they were not used to playing at this level of intensity. With Sithole's physical attributes, we felt it was best not to risk him in a high-intensity match just yet."
Despite Sithole's absence, Arrows delivered a strong performance against Chiefs, securing a crucial victory that lifted them to 10th place on the log with 27 points after 20 games.
Arrows will look to build on their momentum when they take on Chippa United at Mpumalanga Stadium on Saturday. With the new signings settling in, Mngqithi will be hoping his side can continue their climb up the standings as the season progresses.
