Khuliso Mudau yet to sign new Sundowns deal

The 29-year-old former Magesi and Black Leopards defender joined the Brazilians in 2020 and has gone on to play 144 times for the club, scoring eight goals and assisting four times.

In his time with Downs, the Bafana Bafana right-back has won the league four times, the MTN8 four times, the Nedbank Cup once and the African Football League once.

Mudau's current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, while Downs have an option to extend.

Talks over a new deal have started, but Steve Kepeluschnick explained that the two parties are yet to agree to a deal.

He told FARPost: “Yeah, his contract is coming to an end, they have options [to extend]. We have been trying to negotiate with them for a new contract, but we haven't found each other at this stage.”

This season Mudau has made 22 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals, and providing two assists.

But he is not the only player with a contract coming to an end, with the list of players not yet tied to the club for next season including Devine Lunga, Terrence Mashego, Marcelo Allende, Jody February, Sipho Mbule, Sphelele Mkhulise, Mothobi Mvala, Musa Lebusa, and Rivaldo Coetzee.
